  Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention ( Guangzhou Hygienic Examination Center ) is formerly named as Guangzhou Anti-epidemic Station. It is a guidance center for disease control and prevention and hygienic surveillance and test in Guangzhou area. Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention takes on prevention and control of infectious disease and chronic non-infectious disease, hygienic surveillance and laboratory testing, hygienic evaluation, functional tests and evaluation of related products. It is also a training base for students from tertiary medical schools and universities.

  It is common knowledge that our country is developing and progressing at an amazing speed in the 21 st century. It gives Guangzhou a valuable opportunity to develop and leaves a wider space for improving life. Guangzhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention will continue to explore new ideas in disease control and prevention, give full play to its own skill and technology, conduct scientific research in the domain of disease control and prevention and other public health area, provide technical consultation on disease prevention, health care and other public health topics, and provide service on laboratory testing and hygienic evaluation.
